Your right about the PS3/360 install war on N4G!
Personally i think that installs will be great if;
1.the game benefits in some meaningful way.
2.there is only 1 install at the start of the game - no install every chapter rubbish.
3.Installs are still optional.
As long as the above 3 are adhered to then i dont mind waiting an hour for an install because i can nip to the shops,do ...
I wonder though how easy the navigation of the party system will be in reality.
Aslong as its streamlined and intergrated fully then i can see big things ahead.
It makes me wonder if the new live experience and sony's HOME are all that different?
LIVE's party system and HOME's lobby system for games has the same feel but at the same time are going in slightly different directions.

I think Sony will release PS4 around 2012 - 1 year after the next xbox and Nintendo's new console.
After all the R&D going into the cell they would be wise to keep it with the next console - saving money on R&D for the next gen,and with the cost of the CELL coming down by then it would promote a lower priced console on release.
Next gen of consoles also need more RAM to play with - 2gigs would be sensibile,all consoles would also have to have a HDD as sta...
Gears is an awesome game and so when making the second EPIC have fine tuned the game,added extras and served.
Thus Gears2 - pretty simple?
If your going to do a sequel to a game and overhall it completely so it cant get compared to the original (and called *whatever* 1.5) then you might aswell make a new IP,which isnt the idea for sequels........
As for the insecure ones who have posted and say that this game will suck and Resistance2 and Killzone2...
I think the Avatars encroach as much as you want them to.
This new Live Expereince seems very flexibile to me even giving people the option of using a mini version of the current dashboard if they'd like.
I think the reason that this will be a huge success is that it is completely intergrated into the Live service and complements it beautifully.
Rivals offerings of up and coming online services seem very disjointed and gimicky by comparison.

Maybe Sony have got an exclusive deal with Square Enix so that prohibits them releasing it on the 360 in Japan.

If the 360 had a lower failure rate, a wealth of JRPG's all ready out and a host of Mini/Party games out/coming out then i think it might have more weight behind it.
MS should be commended though - The Wii,and to a lesser extent PS2/3 are massive in Japan and alot of people would have thought that MS would have 'shut up shop' over there...
Yet they still chip away and that is very important i believe.
If they make an effort this gen with Japan then...
As long as Microsoft are making money on each and every SKU put through the till then they are going to be happy.
Obviously a 100% increase would be incredibile for MS but a 32% increase with which they are shifting units and still making $$$ is good for their coffers.
Solid games there without mentioing Viva or Banjo3 which gives the 360 more diversity to choose from.
Personally most looking forward to Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 this Christmas - probably going to be the best RTS of the year.
LBP = System Seller.
HOME = Not so much.
I think HOME is very gimicky and once the initial 'wow' has died down in 2/3 months people wont use it.
Its just a curiousity thing with HOME - if the PSN service was alot more intergrated and streamlined then HOME might have a place if done correctly but not when its done like this.
If your not gonna play online then the Arcade is a steal - after all you wont need to pay for Live Gold and you wont be downloading any demos into a harddrive..........
Thus $199 for the best games in HD is amazing value.
If you want to play online and download some demos then simply buy a 'Pro' or an 'Elite',sorted.
Very fun and definitely smoother and faster than the Smackdown vs Raw games,you dont have to wait for ages when youve been knocked to the ground to get up again.
Just seen some footage of Sm vs Raw 2009 and the animation is still bad compared to the TNA game,though the actual graphics do look on par.
Looks like Bioshock is gonna shift a few copies on the PS3 aswell as the 360 too.

Bomberman Live? Saturn Bomberman had 10 players on multiplayer.
Fallout3? Unless the 'Independant' has played through the game already (its not released yet) then they are guessing.......
